POLICE ARREST NOTORIOUS GUNMEN NICKNAME ‘MATCH & DIE’ IN OWERRI, IMO STATE WITH GUNS AND AMMUNITION (PHOTOS)

The Imo State Police Command has arrested a notorious criminal nicknamed “Match and Die”, after they stormed the hideouts of the criminal along the Owerri Nekede Axis. According to police report released today, Godwin Chukwuemeka a 35-year-old man was arrested while hidden inside the ceiling compartment of his house.

The report said Chukwuemeka was a dismissed soldier from the Nigerian Army and confessed to be part of the hoodlums that attacked the Imo State Police Command Headquarters, early this year. Several sophisticated items/weapons were recovered from him, they are; A cut to size double barrel gun, black browning pistol, two live cartridges, one expanded cartridge, military camouflage and desert boots.

The arrest of the notorious criminal was a relief to the police and the society in which he lived because he has been creating terror in the mind of people living in the area. The CP commended the gallantry of the police officers that carried out the covert operation and urged the public to cooperate with the police to apprehend any criminal in the society.
