Many Injured As Muslim Worshippers & Hoodlums Clash In LagosNews Source: The Nation Nigeria
Many were feared injured in the early hours of Sunday when a group of Muslim worshippers and hoodlums clashed in Marina area of Lagos. The reason for the fracas, which lasted from 1pm-4pm, according to sources remains unknown.
The Nation learnt that several dangerous weapons such as cutlasses, knives and others were used during the brawl, which saw several properties vandalised in the Marina area.
It was gathered some men from the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Corps(LNSC) later showed up and chased the hoodlums away.

Kayode Fayemi, Chairman Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) on Saturday paid a one day visit to Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra in Awka and welcomed him officially to the forum.
Mr Fayemi, who is also the Ekiti State Governor, described Mr Soludo as a “valuable asset” to the forum while commending him for the positive steps he had taken so far on assumption of office.
He said he had been following activities in Anambra under Mr Soludo with keen interest, adding that the state had been relatively lucky with having progressive governors. The NGF chairman said that Mr Soludo was another addition to the long list.

No fewer than five passengers, including a vigilante, were killed along the Sabon Gari-Kampani Road in the Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The victims were killed by suspected terrorists, locally dubbed bandits, operating in the area, according to Daily Trust.
According to Abdullahi Usman, a resident of Wase town, the vigilante and one other person were ambushed, while the remaining three were killed during a stop-and-search operation by the bandits.
Usman added that more than 20 passengers were kidnapped in the incident.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has received scores of defectors from the PDP, African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Accord Party.
One of the defectors harvested from PDP was Rep. Ajibola Muraina (PDP-Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency).
At the reception party on Saturday, state chairman Mr Isaac Omodewu said that the party has gained more from the defection than it lost to PDP.
Omodewu said his party is seriously working toward reclaiming the state from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He said the defectors were the first batch, adding that more batches were still coming to join APC, especially from the Labour Party

Addressing a mammoth crowd at the headquarters of IMIM at the Ikorodu axis of Lagos, Bishop Kayode Williams, Founder and Vice President of IMIM, revealed that the divine, prophetic message from God indicates that Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is the right person to lead the country come 2023.

Pastor Adeboye Gets Honorary Doctorate From Varsity

Oral Roberts University, Oklahoma, has awarded the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian of Church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, with an honorary doctorate degree.
In a video shared on his Instgram page, Adeboye was awarded ‘Doctor of Divinity’ for his distinguish service in spiritual leadership.
Adeboye said he never expected that he would receive such an award from a “prestigious” university.

United States House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi has met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Kyiv.
Zelenskiy, flanked by an armed escort, greeted Pelosi outside his presidential office, dressed in the khaki military garb he has worn for public appearances since the start of Russia’s invasion on Feb 24.
“Our delegation traveled to Kyiv to send an unmistakable and resounding message to the entire world: America stands firmly with Ukraine,” Pelosi said in a statement.

The Troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) have killed about 22 Boko Haram/Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists during a fighting clearance operations on the fringes of Lake Chad.
Lt. Col. Kamarudeen Adegoke, the Chief of Military Public Information of the MNJTF N’Djamena, Chad said that the terrorists were neutralised at Tumbun Rabo in Abadam Local Government Area in Borno on April 27.
