A member of the House of Representatives representing the Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Ajibola Saubana Muraina, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Daily Post gathered that Muraina, who is serving his third term at the green chamber, was elected on the platform of the PDP in 2019.

He made this disclosure during a programme organized by the Oyo State chapter of APC to welcome new members on Saturday.

Jonathan Qualified To Run For President -Ozekhome

Human Rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Mike Ozekhome has said that former President Goodluck Jonathan, is constitutionally qualified to run for president.

While Jonathan has not declared any intention to run, there have been speculations of his plan to join the race for the top job.

Many Injured As Police & Shiites Clash In Kaduna

One person was confirmed dead while several others were injured as security agents and members of the proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), popularly known as Shi’ites, clashed in Kaduna on Saturday.

Trouble started when the Shi’ites were on a procession to mark the annual Quds Day, while security agents, who were stationed along major roads in Kaduna and Zaria, tried to disperse members of the group.

“APC Convention Sub-committee On Media Spent Only N100m On Publicity” – Shehu

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu has debunked a report alleging that the Media Subcommittee of the Convention Planning Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, spent N800 million on its publicity activities.

Shehu, who served as Secretary of the Committee, however, clarified that they only got N100 million which was used to augment an initial budget of N360million.
