Over 1,000 APC Members Decamp To PDP

Mass defection rocked Kogi Local Government chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) weekend as over 1,000 members of the ruling party in the state defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Announcing their defection, leader of the defectors, Alhaji Abdullahi Isah from Gegu South, who spoke on behalf of others, said they decided to join the PDP because of the injustice meted on them by the APC leadership.

Rochas Okorocha Meets With Bola Tinubu

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, on Friday, continued his fence-mending within the party with visits to some former presidential aspirants in the just concluded primary election.

Mr Tinubu visited Senator Rochas Okorocha yesterday. Tinubu had met with Amaechi, Bello and other aspirants.

Atiku Speaks About Democracy

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has called on Nigerians to kick out the All Progressives Congress (APC) from power during the general elections in 2023.

He made the call on Sunday in his Democracy Day message, saying that was the most important tribute the people could pay to the heroes of democracy in the country.

Atiku believes the occasion is an auspicious period to rally around all compatriots to think and work in concert for the unity, security, equity, inclusivity, socio-economic prosperity and equitable development of the country.

Ogun Sets Up Judicial Commission Of Enquiry On Land Matters

The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has approved the constitution of a Judicial Commission of Enquiry to review Land Allocation, Documentation and various suspected illegal land dealings in Ogun State in recent times.

According to the Ogun State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade (SAN), the Commission is set up in line with the administration’s commitment to transparency in government processes, and drive to ease doing business.

Kwara Aspirants Commit To Work For PDP Guber Candidate, Ya man Abdullahi

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirants, in the primary election held in Ilorin, which produced Yaman Shuaib Abdullahi, have pledged to work for the party’s victory in the 2023 general elections in the State.

They also agreed to contribute to the development of a solid campaign plan, strategy and road map among other activities needed to ensure the party’s victory.
