President Muhammadu and members of his family have joined other Muslims in Nigeria and around the world to celebrate the Eid Al-Fitr.
The President and his family observed the Eid Al-Fitr prayers which mark the end of the 30-day Ramadan fasting at the Mambila Barracks, in Abuja.
Vanguard reported that the President, the First Lady Aisha Buhari, some of their children, grandchildren and relatives were at Mambila Barracks for the prayers.
As we already know, Muslim faithfuls all over the world celebrate the Eid Al-Fitr after observing a month-long fast during the period of Ramadan. The Eid Al-Fitr means – the period of breaking the fast – and this year, it fell on May 2nd.
The day is usually celebrated in grand style, and it is regarded as the biggest Eid in the year. The Eid Al-Fitr is always observed to thank Allah for giving the strength and courage during the one month fast.
It was interesting to see the number one citizen in the country and members of his family participating in the prayers. We join our faith with them to say that may their prayers be answered.
