The 2023 general election is fast approaching, and political parties have started revealing the prices for nomination forms for various elective seats.
The Nigerian electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has set a deadline for political parties to complete their primary elections. Every political party must submit a candidate list by the first of June 2022.
The two major political parties have announced the prices of their nomination forms and set dates for primaries.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary election will be held on May 29, 2022. See the cost of nomination and expression of interest forms for the party for different positions below.
1. House of Assembly: N600,000
2. House of Representatives: N2,500,000
3. Senate: N3,500,000
4. Governorship: N21,000,000
5. Presidential: N41,000,000
