It’s a known fact that farming is gradually turning into old fashion, especially among our youths. Many young people can’t confidently say they’re farmers. Farming is a very lucrative profession that has a lot of potential. We have different sectors in farming, ranging from fish farming, crop farming, animal rearing, and others.
Below are three reasons Nigerians should return back to farming.
1. Employment opportunities for youths: Commercial farming creates a lot of employment opportunities for youths to get employed. A big commercial farm can employ more than 1,000 youths in different sectors.
2. Boost the Economy of a Nation: Agriculture can contribute massively to boasting a nation’s economy. A nation like Nigeria can’t solely depend on crude oil alone to generate money.
3. Minimize Poverty: Venturing into farming will not only create employment opportunities but can also aid in minimizing poverty among the masses. Farmers will be able to produce their own foods, sell some of their products to acquire other items they need.
