Professor Akuma-Kalu Njoku is a Nigerian man who built a Village in the United States. According to reports, he gained recognition in the year 2010 after he built an Igbo Village in the Frontier Culture Museum, Staunton in Virginia.
Why He Built It
According to an article on Legit, In the year 2003, he was contacted by the staff of the Museum who wanted him to serve as the Principal Consultant for the Igbo Farm Village Project. The Professor accepted the offer and in 2005, the Construction of the Village began and was completed in 2010. A lot of people including volunteers also assisted in the Construction of the Village.
Today the Village is very famous in the United States and it is visited by a lot of tourists who wants to connect with family History. The Village also present tourists with the opportunity to learn about the Igbo Culture in the United States of America because it provides a context that is close to the Igbo Cultural Environment.
According to reports, the Village has been visited by lots of people who have commended Njoku for his good work. Today Njoku has gained recognition because of what he did and his name will never be forgotten in Nigeria.
