Read below to see how the thief was given life once again through the help of the soldiers:

When soldiers of Moyale Barracks were on a patrol duty, they came across a good number of Mzuzu residents in Malawi. These Soldiers inquired about why people surrounded a young man with black tyres round his neck. The angry Mzuzu residents made the soldiers aware that the unnamed young man was caught stealing clothes in a shop that belongs to a resident of Mzuzu. Upon hearing this, the Soldiers decided to save the culprit from the claws of death. They literally rescued the young man from being killed in a broad daylight.

Below are the lessons learnt from the fleeting encounter the Soldiers had with the thief:

1. The major lesson learnt through this incident is that jungle justice is not the solution to any criminal activity. If not for the intervention of the Soldiers who were patrolling, the thief might have lost his life and the angry residents might land in trouble for taking law into their hands.

2. This young man’s story also teaches that the act of stealing leads to public embarrassment. For this reason, stealing should be shunned.

Dear esteemed Readers, as we have talked about the lessons learnt from the incident and how the thief was rescued, what do you think about the kind gesture of the Malawian Soldiers?
